Gifts of art: Family Pets
Many people own a family pet or two.... and this is an area of artwork that gives me, and I think the pet owners who commission their artworks, great pleasure!
As a general rule, it is recommended that one to three animals
are quite sufficient in an animal painting or illustration.
Paintings and drawings showing one animal in up to three different poses are, though, becoming increasingly popular and I am always happy to create this type of portrayal for clients.
NOTE
When choosing photographs of your pets, choose those that do not"lose" the animal against an unsuitable back-ground. Examples of this include a tabby kitten hiding in long grass or a Jack Russell terrier disappearing down a rabbit hole!
Please: choose photographs that are close-ups! A subject that is just a small dot in the distance is of no use.
Don't forget to fill in the enquiry form. You could be a winner of a Fine Art Print.
